FSU Football.... Are You Ready?

Jameis Winston, FSU QB

FSU vs. Bethune Cookman
Half-Time Report

Tallahassee- At the half, the Seminoles are in the drivers seat to defeat an FCS opponent, but they have not necessarily shown the ability to become a premier candidate for a National Championship, or a Clemson victory.

Yes, the Noles are leading Bethune Cookman 33-0 heading in to the second half but this is a team that takes on opponents by the  likes of  FAMU and Savannah State, a team Florida State dismantled last year by a score of 55-0.

If you are a Florida State fan I would be a little bit displeased with a somewhat disappointing fist half by the Seminoles. The Noles only tallied up 112 passing yards in the whole half, and Heisman hopeful Jameis Winston threw 9 incompletions.

This is expected from a Freshman only starting his 3rd collegiate football game, but it is not something fans would like to see against an FCS opponent.

On the bright side, Florida State is continuing to show a little spark in the rushing game with  20 carries for a total of 146 yards. Devonta Freeman and James Wilder Jr. each have 1 rushing touchdown. You may even see a little action from Carlos Williams, needless to say, you can expect the Seminoles to step on the gas pedal in the second half.
